Registration and fees

SLE conferences are members-only. Become a member if you are not one yet.

Please note that for each paper at least one author should be registered by 31 May 2021. Papers that are not registered by 31 May will not be scheduled. Co-authors, convenors, and participants without a paper must register by 15 July.

The conference fee covers the costs of the platform and website, the welcome reception, assistance and the Zoom sessions.

Membership

Standard SLE members

The standard annual membership fee for 2021 is €30. It applies to all members with a salary or with institutional funding. Three years of membership (i.e. 2021-2023) costs €75.

Special rate

A special rate of €15 applies in 2021 for unsalaried students without a salary or scholarship, retired colleagues, and others without a regular income. The criterion applies at the moment of payment.

Reduced rate

There is also a reduced rate of €10 for 2021 for members currently active as linguists in countries whose per capita nominal GDP (according to the latest IMF data) lies below $20,000. In case of doubt, please consult https://societaslinguistica.eu/membership/.

Cancellations

If you wish to withdraw from the conference, please let us know as soon as possible so that the schedule can be modified accordingly. Cancellations after the conference schedule has been published (at the beginning of June) create many complications for the colleagues in the organization team, and last minute cancellations even more so.

Since the conference fee is unusually low, no reimbursements will be applied this year.
